Black Newspapers History Month!... 'Newspaper Of The Week!'...Huntsville Gazette!

Our 'Newspaper Of The Week'

is:

...The Huntsville Gazette!

The Honorable Charles Hendley, Jr. headed

the operations and was editor-in chief of

The Huntsville Gazette, which was established

in 1879. It lasted for about 15 years,

which was the longest for Our Beautiful Black

newspapers started before the 1900s.

It vanished from the Black Newspaper-scape in 1894.

Black Newspapers History Month was

founded by Ralph C. Winge, D.D.S.

in 2025 to acknowledge, praise, and respect

the Publishers, Editors, Reporters,

Typesetters, Secretaries, Agents,

Distributors, Newsstands, Paperboys,

and all of the the Team Members,

over the many decades, necessary

to produce and disseminate to Our

Black Beautiful Populations the needed

paper ( and now digital) instruments

to inform, inspire, and promote literacy,

so that Our People can make better

decisions, remember Our Great Histories,

to keep Our People up on current events,

to engage our populations to organize,

provide tips and methods to stay safe

in potentially-hostile environments,

and create mechanisms to construct

Our Enterprises for Our Outstanding Futures.

The Founder of Black Newspapers History Month,

Ralph C. Winge, D.D.S.,

is also a Historical Newspaper enthusiast

and USC Dental School Graduate.
